TELEQUIP FILES PATENT INFRINGEMENT LAWSUIT

Syracuse, New York – January 22, 2002 - Telequip Corporation of Hollis, New Hampshire, manufacturer of the Transact family of Coin Dispensers, recently commenced a patent infringement lawsuit in The United States District Court for the Northern District of New York against The Change Exchange of Kenmore, New York and Seoul Information Industrial, Inc. of Seoul, South Korea. Telequip's complaint alleges that certain of defendants' coin dispenser products infringe Telequip's U.S. Patent No. 5,830,055 entitled Coin/Token Canister and Ejection Mechanism. Telequip's complaint seeks injunctive relief and monetary damages.
